"I seemed to move among a world of ghosts
And feel myself the shadow of a dream"

SORRY, WRONG NUMBER & THE HITCH-HIKER

Written by Lucille Fletcher

Produced and Directed by Emma King-Farlow

Sorry, Wrong Number is 'an outstanding study in suspense', centring on a bed-bound invalid who, alone at night, overhears two men plotting a murder on a crossed telephone line. Will anyone take her seriously? Can she get help before the time runs out....

The Hitch-Hiker introduces us to Ronald Adams, a man who set out to travel from Brooklyn to California and found himself dogged every step of the way by a mysterious hitch-hiker dressed in black. Who is the hitch-hiker, what does he want and how can Ronald escape him? The questions alone have driven Ronald to distraction - what might the answers do to him?

These plays were originally written for the radio and broadcast in the early 1940's with Agnes Moorehead and Orson Welles in the starring roles. Adapted now for the theatre, they remain as compelling and shiver-inducing as they ever were!
