Rehearsals will begin in November. They will be held on Saturday afternoons, Tuesday evenings and one weekday evenings every week from then on, although not all actors will be required for each rehearsal.
We will move into the church during the week before the show (the week beginning Monday 18th January) and will then be rehearsing on both Thursday and Friday evening and most of the day on Saturday 23rd (tech) and Sunday 24th (Dress). The FULL cast will be required for these final rehearsals.

The ensemble will play a vital role in this production and will need to function as a close-knit team throughout. Among other things, ensemble members may be required to fight (under the guidance of a fully qualified Fight Director), dance and sing together!
With this in mind, the auditions will be held in small groups and will take roughly two hours each. They will begin with a few group activities, then there will be time for questions about the production etc before a tea break during which you will have time to read through some scenes. After tea, you will then run through those scenes with your fellow auditionees in a variety of combinations!
Auditions will take place either at Kitson Hall (just around the corner from St Mary’s) or in the church itself on the following dates, with different time slots available on each day:
- Saturday 24th October at either 3pm or 5.30pm
- Monday 26th October at 7pm
- Tuesday 27 th October at 7pm
- Saturday 31 st October at either 12pm or 2.30pm
PLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST PRE-BOOK YOUR AUDITION SLOT HAVE IT CONFIRMED, AS WE WILL NOT BE THERE IF WE ARE NOT EXPECTING ANYONE AT THAT TIME!
Please also be aware that social distancing will be observed – if you are attending together with someone from your household or support bubble, please let us know! – sanitiser will be available and auditionees will have their temperature taken before the group session begins. If you have any further questions or queries, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
If you wish to audition for this production, please choose a date and time slot from the list above, then fill out the form below! We will get back to you to confirm ASAP and, as is company policy, everyone who auditions will also receive a follow-up email to let them know the results once all auditions have been held and the production cast.
Thank you again for your interest.
We look forward to hearing from you – and to seeing you soon! 🙂
